Stage two: granular carbon filter, made of activated coconut shell carbon, to remove color, taste, odor, chlorine, and chemicals from water through absorption. Stage three: solid carbon filter, made of activated coconut shell carbon, to remove color, taste, odor, chlorine, and chemicals from water, with a removal accuracy of up to 5 microns. It acts as a confirmation filter for stages one and two. Stage four: excess salts filter, 75 gallons. Reverse osmosis membrane made of very thin polyamide membranes. This very fine membrane works to remove and separate all dissolved materials in water such as excess salts, heavy metals, and chemicals. Due to its fine pore size, it also traps and eliminates bacteria and viruses, disposing of them all into the drain.
